SEO Company in Kent

Choosing an SEO company in Kent comes down to one thing: can they show real growth in Google, not just prettier reports. Here is the kind of Search Console growth our SEO delivers, and how we do it.

If you are looking for an SEO company in Kent, the only question worth asking is whether they can show you real growth in Google, measured in clicks and enquiries, rather than a report full of scores that go up while the phone stays quiet. Plenty of agencies will sell you rankings and "domain authority". Far fewer will show you their Google Search Console data and let the actual numbers do the talking. That is the test, and it is the one we are happy to be judged on.

We are Seonat, an SEO company working with businesses across Kent and the wider UK, from clinics to trades and professional services. This page is the honest version of what an SEO company should be: real results from the accounts we run, shown in Google's own first-party record of it, Google Search Console, then a plain explanation of how we get them. Every figure below is genuine and taken straight from a client's Search Console, and every client is kept anonymous, because their results are ours to be proud of but not ours to name.

The clearest honest test of an SEO company is its Google Search Console data. Rankings and "domain authority" can climb while enquiries go nowhere. Clicks are real people who found you.

The results our SEO actually produces

Here is one account we run, over its first six months with us. In the six months before we started, the site earned 71 organic clicks from Google and 6,344 impressions. In the six months after, it earned 1,172 clicks and 293,261 impressions. That is roughly sixteen times the clicks and forty-six times the visibility, and it is not a projection or a "domain authority" score, it is what Google recorded.

Bar chart showing one anonymised client's first six months with us, using real Google Search Console data: organic clicks grew from 71 to 1,172, about sixteen times more, and search impressions grew from 6,344 to 293,261, about forty-six times more

The scale of that jump is what a site looks like when it goes from almost invisible to genuinely findable. Two things about it are worth saying plainly, because an honest SEO company should. First, growth like that comes from a site that started with very little, so the multiples are large; an established site grows in smaller percentages on much bigger numbers. Second, average position often drifts down slightly while this happens, and that is a good sign, not a bad one: the site is now ranking for hundreds more searches, and every new long-tail term that enters below the established ones pulls the average down while adding real traffic. That is why rankings on their own are the wrong thing to obsess over: clicks and enquiries are what actually count.

Not a one-off

One good result could be luck. The reason we are comfortable putting numbers on a page is that the same pattern shows up across the accounts we run.

Four stat tiles showing real Google Search Console growth across four anonymised clients: 16 times more organic clicks in six months from 71 to 1,172, 7.6 times more organic clicks in six months from 2,539 to 19,278, search impressions up 49.5 per cent in six months to 5.7 million, and impressions up 156.9 per cent in a single quarter

A second account grew from 2,539 clicks in six months to 19,278, with impressions rising from around half a million to 6.84 million. A third, a large and established site, still added 49.5 per cent more impressions over six months, reaching 5.7 million. A fourth, a newer account still early in its climb, lifted impressions by 156.9 per cent in a single quarter. Different starting points, different sizes, the same direction of travel. That consistency is the difference between an SEO company that gets lucky once and one that has a method.

What we actually do as an SEO company

Results like those are not magic, and they are not a single trick. They come from doing the unglamorous work properly, month after month, across four areas.

Technical foundations. A site that is slow, hard for Google to crawl, or broken on mobile will not rank however good the content is. We fix the plumbing first: page speed and Core Web Vitals, clean site structure, and proper structured data so search engines understand exactly what each page is. On one account, fixing a slow-loading hero image took a failing page-speed score into the green, and the rankings followed.

Content that matches real searches. We build pages around the things people actually type, service pages, condition and product pages, and genuinely useful guides, rather than thin copy stuffed with keywords. Our full explanation of the discipline is in our guide to what SEO is, but the short version is that every page should answer a real question a customer has.

Local SEO. For a business serving a specific area, this is where a lot of the value sits, and it is covered in the next section.

Links and authority. We earn links from credible, relevant sites, the kind that genuinely build trust, and we never buy the cheap ones that put a client at risk of a penalty. Slow and safe beats fast and fragile every time.

Local SEO for a Kent business

If your customers are in Kent, most of your opportunity is local, and it comes in two halves.

The first is location pages. A single page trying to rank for a whole county rarely wins; a page built for one town, with locally relevant content and proper structure, does far better. In our experience, building a separate page for each Kent town works better than one page trying to cover the county, because Google ranks the page that matches the exact search, and "plumber in Sevenoaks" is a different search from "plumber in Kent". We build these for towns right across the county, from Maidstone and Canterbury to Ashford, Sevenoaks and Dartford, and a well-built one can start ranking within a couple of months.

The second is the Google Business Profile and the local pack, the map results that sit above the normal listings. For location-based searches, that pack takes a large share of the clicks, and getting into it depends heavily on genuine customer reviews and a well-kept profile. On-page SEO supports it, but the visible local features, the map pin, the stars, the hours, are won on the Business Profile itself, which is why we treat it as core work rather than an afterthought.

How to judge any SEO company in Kent

Whether you work with us or not, judge an SEO company the way we would. Ask to see the Search Console data, not a dashboard of third-party scores. Ask how many more enquiries, calls or clicks the work has produced, and over what period. Ask what an agency actually did each month, and whether the methods are ones you would be comfortable explaining to Google. An SEO company confident in its work will answer all three without flinching. Google's own guidance on hiring an SEO makes the same points, and warns you to be wary of anyone who guarantees a top ranking or claims a special relationship with Google.

The reason we lead with Search Console figures is that they are the honest currency. A click is a real person who searched for what you do and chose your site. Everything else is a proxy, and some of the proxies agencies lean on are chosen precisely because they always go up.

Your town, specifically

Search does not behave the same way across the whole county, and the right strategy for a business in one town is often the wrong one for a business twenty minutes down the road. We have written up what we actually see in each area we work in, taken from the accounts we run there rather than from a keyword tool:

Where to start

If you run a Kent business and you are not sure whether your current SEO is working, start by opening your own Search Console and looking at clicks over the last twelve months. If the line is flat, or you do not have access to it at all, that tells you something. And if you are also weighing up a new site, our work for local businesses is worth a look in our post on website designers in Kent.

Or let us look at it with you. Our SEO service works with businesses across Kent and the wider UK, and we offer a straight, no-pressure review of where you stand and what real growth would take. Get in touch and we will show you the same kind of data you have seen on this page, for your own site.
